Global Foundation for Community Development LBG (GFfCD) is a Ghanaian nonprofit organisation established to contribute to sustainable and inclusive development by empowering people, strengthening communities and creating opportunities for young people to become active contributors to society.
Our work connects community development with the broader Sustainable Development Goals. We believe sustainable development becomes meaningful when global goals are translated into practical action at community level.
A sustainable, inclusive and empowered society where communities and young people have the knowledge, opportunities and capacity to create positive and lasting change.
We believe sustainable development becomes meaningful when global goals are translated into practical action at community level.
To empower communities and young people through knowledge, partnerships, innovation and practical development initiatives that contribute to sustainable social, economic and environmental progress.
Since 2021, we have worked with communities and young people across Ghana, from coastal communities in the Western Region to university students in Tamale.
Sustainable Development Goals
In 2015, 193 countries agreed 17 goals to end poverty, protect the planet and build fairer societies by 2030. Our programmes put seven of them into action in Ghana.
